Are you sure the launch aid for Airbus has been cancelled/ scaled down?
Airbus are pushing the UK government for 300million in order to develop the composite wings for the A350 according to the article in the Sunday Times tha mentions EK’s alleged order.

Did remind me of the first flight of the Concorde. Hope the A380 enjoys a comparable carreer. 😀

I used to live in dubai and judging by most things there, this airport should (stereotypically of the area) be bigger and more ridiculously more extravagent than any other

Surely not!!!!- I mean doesnt it have to go/ has it undergone taxi tests first? Anyway, im not complaining, thursday is my birthday and seeing that fly would be fantastic!!!

So does anyone know whether the ground tests have started/been completed.

I dont want to start a new thread on this but is a 900 varient in the offering, possibly with a launch at paris. I heard somewhere that Emirates want to order 40 of them!!!!- although i dont believe it….
