    I was watching the Stearman displaying on the Saturday and half way through the air racers began to arrive over the site… Looked a bit dodgy to me as the Stearman had to head off low and quick as about 15 other aircraft flew over coming the other way…. (but I am not an aviator so could just be a skewed non-experts view!)

    The Lancaster flyby was amazing – never seen PA474 in the air that close.

    Watched the Red Arrows and the French team fly over Dover Castle… and that was literally it – thought after all the effort to get there in formation one of them would have displayed along the sea front…

    Glad to hear Mikael made it over this morning!

    Nice shots – reminds me of holidays in Cornwall when I was a bit shorter than I am now 🙂

    Attached is a pic from my old Hanimax 110 of a 771 sqn Wessex HAR.5 at the Coverack Lifeboat day 1985 taken at the ripe age of 10

    I’m trying not to be too jealous of where u live – beautiful part of the world!!

    I was there on the Saturday and the ol heart missed a beat when the Vimy swerved on take off – fortunately nothing serious!

    Do you know if the Macchi is airworthy or was it a replica?

    Dare I ask what lens(es) you were using and where abouts you were standing (I was on the far left of the display line and will put some shots up hopefully in the next couple of days! – sun was a problem in the later stages :()
