I’m with Plane Space on this one.

P.S. Chox, far be it from me to tell you what to do, but wouldn’t your time and effort be better spent writing another book, I really enjoyed the last one (unlike Damien Burke!)

I think it was glycol, although I stand to be corrected on that one!

I seem to remember that Don Kingaby of 92 Sqn expected his engine to expire when glycol got into the cockpit during one combat over the Channel. After landing he found that the windscreen de-icer system had sprung a leak.

Good grief, I come back from holiday and find all of this.

It must be my fault, the last time I came back from a holiday abroad I found that Gordon Brown had become Prime Minister while I was away and the Spice Girls had reformed.

Have just returned from a trip to the Aviation Bookshop in Tunbridge Wells and they have a very similar photo (slightly different angle) in their photo basket.

I would like to know how much revenue was lost by not being able to fly at Waddington.

Whatever that sum is, perhaps Robert Plemming could donate the equivalent monies out of his salary to the cause of keeping the Vulcan flying.

Had the choice today to buy some goodies from the Lightning Preservation Group or the Vulcan people and thankfully I chose the former.

His publisher (Pen and Sword Books) are usually pretty good at forwarding enquiries so if you send them an e-mail I’m sure it will eventually get to him.

I wonder if Eric knew Tim Elkington (aka Cotteswold) who flew with 134 Sqn from Vaenga near Murmansk in late 1941.

If you want to know what was actually wrong with the Swift and how it compared with the Hunter try getting hold of a copy of Peter Caygill’s book Jet Jockeys (Airlife 2002) 😉

Testing? I thought they weren’t allowed to do that any more during the season!

Anyone got Ross Brawn’s phone number.

I will be attending the War and Peace Show this year for the first time.

Is there much of aeronautical interest there, or is it mainly military?
