hello
There are two pics of this particular hercules here:

hey man thanks! those are the photos used in Air Forces Monthly…
cool
NC-130A was retired a while ago, this NC-130H replaced her.
The NC-130A was never used for laser turret testing.
Until its retirement, the NC-130A was the oldest C-130 in the USAF still flying. 55-0022
the picture I posted of the NC-130A, is that turret just to test beam control?
This is the first time a B-2 has ever been lost. This could get interesting.
its a cover-up, no B-2 crashed… its a UFO that was downed in Guam 😛 lol
Im going to chapters, I have a revived interest in the blackbird now! do you guys think the SR-1 or SR-72 “Aurora” (as ive seen the designations) is a real project? i dont think there really is a need for that role anymore…
yea that is a YF-12… sorry
thanks for telling me about Project: Tagboard, something I didn’t know about. I really over looked the SR-71
heres a neat pic of what I was talkin about earlier![]()
here are the web sites that say the SR-71 could carry a nuke;
http://www.everything2.org/index.pl?node_id=57428
http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/recon/sr71/
http://portal.aircraft-info.net/article12.html
there are other sites that go on to say that “SR” stands for Strike/Reconnasaince and not Strategic Reconnasaince as I thought?
garry, the U.S. navy could destroy Iran from anywhere in the Persian Gulf or even the eastern most parts of the med… Iran wouldn’t even be able to get within 100 miles of a U.S. or U.K. fleet, no matter what, Iran’s military would crumble in 48hrs or less, thats not to say we wouldn’t have a hard time in the actual occupation of Iran, but the Iranians are different, the youth are becoming more educated, more moderate, probably favour a western liberation. my opinion ofcourse.
Indeed, all weapons were carried in a weapons bay, so you won’t see anything hanging from it, apart from the occasional fuel tank – which I believe was only one, not two
canadian forces had a different config i believe…
i think the F-101 had an internal weapons bay system. In Canada, the
CF-101B carried two AIM-4D Falcons and two Air-2A nuclear tipped Genies, but I know they had 2 center pylon for gas tanks
US have no armed scout helicopter no offer, if you don’t want to drag the old OH-58D into the debate. The only available counterpart would be A129 Scorpion and that would mean the same situation.
you will soon see the ARH-70/Bell 417 perform the role as armed scout or armed Recce helicopter as the designation reads
Comments? Predictions? Anyone else excited about seeing pictures of AH-64s and Tigers operating side by side? 😀 😀 😀
i think that is more than likely, the Tiger is generally used as scout/combat escort helo and if any of the OH-58Ds are busy or unavailable at the time, the Tiger would probably step up… I started a thread called “For Canadians” debating what new scout helo they should acquire to support their purchase of the CH-47Fs, I thought maybe the Tiger was a great choice, I hope to see Canadians flying in that soon as well…
there are no possible scenarios except for the iranian air force being pounded into the ground before they take over in a 24 hour cruise missile campaign. air strikes consisting of F-22s would then penetrate certain radar networks and further destroy remaining targets leaving the iranian military crippled in less than 48 hours.
i think the best way of describing modernized/updated gen 4 aircraft could be written as Generation 4+ perhaps?
heres what they had planned for the F-16E/F block 60 originally…
there is no funding for it right now ,but there were in depth plans to create a ‘tailess’ F-16, designated F-16X… I wonder if that will be one of the F-16XLs?

an RC-135U would be spotted flying anywhere within 500 miles of India though, no? I would think they would wait for a more open opportunity such as something like this, but I could be naive…
