I believe this new missile deal with MBDA is a clear indication of the Rafale winning the contest..This is simply the logical way.

Or it could mean the opposite. If India knew it wanted the Rafale, then why not wait a little more to purchase the Mica and make a much bigger order to get lower price?

AASM is a good weapon, but Brimstone is even more useful, as Libya demonstrated.

    The typhoon can shoot neither.

I agree, it’s 1 photo per page, and not even real pictures but drawings 😡

As much as I love the idea of a new OV10, I’m afraid that boeing would make it as costly as a new build F16 in the end. I think US companies just can’t make simple cheap products to save their lives.

The deal will send 84 new fighter jets and upgrades for 70 more, for a total of $29.4 billion.

AP sources: US to sell F-15s to Saudi Arabia

Makes me wonder how one can seriously consider the Rafale too expensive.

If Rafale wins India, I can see Dassault selling UAE to the same price or even more expansive just for revange…

Would be good. Of course if they want more block 60 be my guest :diablo:

    Interesting yes.

Maybe the EAU decided to make that comment and see how Dassault did in India, only to try and bargain a better deal if Rafale won in India.

I’ve just heard some Rafale news on the radio. Nothing new except for one thing: When they interviewed the CO of 1/7 during the Libyan ops, he said:

In the very first strikes against Libya, the Libyan air defence tried to shoot them down for about three hours, which gave them a bit of a headache.

By the way I have read several analysis that corroborate pretty much what manson says, and there was never a mention of astrology anywhere.

In the part of text you quote, he says himself that he doesn’t use financial astrology. How is that the mark of a madman beats me.

note the above. We have a madman on the forum. Astrology!

Manson: some racing tipsters have got rich – from the fees paid by the gullible idiots who pay for their worthless predictions. Haven’t you heard of the “How to get rich” guide, which when you receive it, tells you to place an ad for a “How to get rich” guide, & send everyone who pays the same advice?

The stock exchange work pretty much the same. So where do you think that will lead us?

Here’s an intersting interview with Charles Edelstenne about the Rafale’s export woes.

    http://www.lefigaro.fr/societes/2011/12/11/04015-20111211ARTFIG00186-rafale-pas-de-cadeau-fait-par-l-etat-a-dassault-aviation.php

Funnily, when he mentions the swiss order of the gripen NG, he doesn’t talk about the cost of the Gripen, but he only speaks of the bad bilateral relationship between Swizerland and France. Reading between the lines, he seems to think that not chosing the Rafale is some kind of payback for something and not a question of cost.

Is there any hit percentage for the AASM available?
