Indeed it is very far fetched. The IAF has had multiple opportunities to do DACT against F16s, and they also had the opportunity to do DACT with Typhoons and with Rafales. It’s not a nameless article on an internet forum that would change anything.

And anyway, IIRC the first time RAF Typhoons attended Anatolian Eagle was in 8 – 19 June 2009, of which was the dates the RAF Typhoons first participated where as the PAF didn’t, at all.

A quick glance on google brought me to PAF forums, where it was said that the PAF pilots were flying turkish F16s, so it could have happened if PAF pilots flew with the turkish air force (exchange pilot or visiting I don’t know).

I seriously doubt that the PAF would try to tilt the balance like that. I’m fairly sure the IAF would smash the PAF whatever it buys for MMRCA.

Impossible as we all know as only the Rafale is a stealthy upper super plane with Spectra cloaking device (why does it need it anyway?). You know Typhoon has such a big RCS and crappy ECM it can’t hide so it must fight its way through the defences.:p

I’m sorry but I don’t see the logics. Sacrificing range to get one more air to air missile sounds silly in my opinion, and I don’t think no pilot in their right mind will look for a confrontation with enemy fighters if they have a strike mission to carry.

It would be much wiser to use the extra range to avoid the enemy fighters altogether, and either try to go undetected, or have a fighter sweep take care of the enemy fighters.
