How about 5-10 cruise missiles near Assad’s presidential palace?

Too much risk of collateral damage. The US never kill civilians.

Remind me again who it was that pushed the US into going into Libya?

Oh please, sarkozy couldn’t decide to put his finger into his nose alone. He was doing the the US administration’s job in their place so they wouldn’t seem too aggressive taking down one country after the other.

Well if there is one message seen here it’s that the trump administration falls for the first false flag they meet.

Pretty saddening. But oh well, those merrickans (politicians/goverment, not people) never cease to disappoint.

Personally, I will stick to the opinions of chemical weapons experts.

So much more convenient than to think for yourself.

Do we know what kind of missile that is? I would think it’s the R77-1?

    Sigh.

2 fighters being able to bring 4000kg payload to 1000 km, one uses 5000lb fuel the other needs 7000lb fuel. Which is better?

1 fighter maneuvers better than another at 50% fuel, but the other has twice the range in that configuration? Is that a fair comparison or is it a biased comparison? It’s ridiculous to compare “at 50% fuel”, you should be comparing at similar range/payload achievable. What good is it to be more maneuverable at 50% fuel if you can’t reach the target while the “less maneuverable fighter” can?

As I said subjectivity is flawed. Why not comparing real data instead?

Well there must be a reason for everything. Doesn’t mean it’s a good reason.

Who cares what % of fuel there is? Comparing at given target range vs payload vs fuel used is the only worthwhile comparison.

The fact that it represents 10, 50, 60 or 90% internal fuel is totally irrelevant. Subjectivity sucks.

Second hand Gripens from Swedish Air Force could be a good choice for Austria IMO. Should be quite a few airframes with relatively low hours available in the 2020-2030 timeframe, unless our government finally realize what a a big waste it is not to keep them.

Isn’t it funny how every European government these days do what’s best for everyone but their own people?

Very light. It’s happy hour here. In any case, T-VIP isn’t American (I don’t think) so the whole America-stronk thing doesn’t make sense.

You can take him if you want.

    Scratch that… please take him.

The question is: when do the T1s become too expensive to maintain?
