Oh yeah that is the best way to avoid war. You start doing that and you can’t really paint the Turks as the aggressors. Imagine what the world would have been like if NATO/USSR had taken that approach.

If they want it that bad Greece (and the whole EU) should oblige.

I have to agree with the statement above.

Take the Eurofighter add AESA radar and put it into a better airframe and you have a winner.

Well if you need a new airframe you might as well start everything over and benefit from the technology breakthroughs in avionics and sensors.

Not very important since the RBE2 PESA will soon be replaced by the AESA.

The Aim-9M can only be used passively. It can also be queued from the EW system, but it has to lock on before launch.

AIM 9M should be fired well within range of the Rafale MAWS.

Also, why would a Rafale pilot turn its radar on and risk being detected by the AN/ALR-94, while it could use OSF (of which the F22 lacks an equvalent btw) completely passively instead? To me it makes no sense at all.

If I was to fight F22s in a Rafale, the last thing I would do would be to turn my radar on :confused:

Scorpion82 (I think) hinted at some point that kinematic rangeing could be available for pirate. It’s not so far fetched to think that at some point (if not yet) it’s going to be able to achieve a lock.
