And that based on what ? absolutely nothing. Listening from Syrian/Rus media or Youtube channel doesnot mean you are immune from propaganda. Itis one thing to dobble check the news and another thing to just believes everything on Youtube

Stop the selective quoting, the answer to this was in the rest of my post.

Lockheed crisis management after Trump’s tweets. How surprising.

The guy has a point, as his article proves that relying solely on the a program with such a catastrophic management was a poor decision.

You basically say that our media isnot trust worthy so you assume that Syrian minister is. While in reality both sides are full of proparganda to support their cause.

Nope I said our ministers are a bunch of liars and I don’t think the Syrian Minister could be much worse. So I said I want to see the news from both sides & cross check as much as I can and three years from now I’ll be able to know who was lying & who was closer to the truth and learn from that.

In three years when they want to flatten Iran or Lebanon or whatever country, I’ll remember the lies that were spouted by our media & cnn & bbc, and I, unlike you, won’t be gobbling it, and I will be against flattening whoever your puppetmasters want to flatten.

The 1974 decision by Egyptair to reject its newly delivered Tu-154s gave the type some bad publicity, but the aircraft went on to have a good safety record.

The in(famous) 2011 incident in which RA-85563 had massive post-takeoff controllability problems but made a safe landing was a stunning demonstration of piloting skills. A video is available on Youtube, and makes amazing viewing.

I just watched the video it’s insane. I had that happen once in Il 2 sturmovik & I managed to land with just engine & rudder control. But it was just a game. That pilot surely did a small miracle there

ps- Today, right on top of the BBC news site was a video with the title “UK Foreign Office ‘got Syria wrong”, the description text was “A former British ambassador to Syria has said the British Foreign Office has got “Syria wrong every step of the way”…

You could have asked me a couple years ago and saved some millions spent to train jihad joes.

(edit: plus the bazillions bombing who know whom)

It comes down to which version of F-35 you need to buy. If you need to fly from an aircraft carrier then SH is going to be cheaper than F-35C. But if you don’t have an aircraft carrier, as is the case with Canada, then you would always purchase F-35A. In the Canadian context F-35A is likely cheaper or equivalent to SH while offering greater range, payload, better sensors and cheaper overall life time cost. The Canadians get to purchase at partner price and take advantage of all the benefits this offers. Not so with the Sh which would at best be FMS, has only two operators and will be out of production in 5 years max.

Yeah, but it’s a good aircraft.

More like you moved from one propaganda machine to an alternative propaganda machine. I like how most conspiracy theorists doesn’t trust main stream at all but eat up everything from a poorly edited YouTube video

Who said I bought anything from Sputnik or youtube videos?

I don’t know how trustworthy the Syrian minister is, but I know for a fact that ours isn’t. & it’s not my fault that you don’t get a single paper on the Syrian minister’s comments at the UN in the french (lol) media, and you have to actually watch it on youtube.

BTW your reply proves that you didn’t understand what I wrote in my post.

There seem to be two sorts of people; those who are able to assess the reliability of news sources, and those who cannot. As this forum often demonstrates, we do not lack posters who fall into the second category.

I have been involved in open-source intelligence for several decades, and my normal practice is to take information from a wide range of sources, but to be aware of which sources are likely to be reliable, and which are not. So yes, I have to read stuff from propaganda outlets such as RT, FARS, and KCNA, and probably still have a few copies of the long-defunct ‘Soviet Military Review’ (which was once dubbed as being ‘designed by Smersh to kill by boredom’). But the signal-to-noise ratio from such ‘alternative sources’ is very high.

Signal to noise is very high also on western mainstream media. In France it is so painfully obvious that I’m unable to watch TV news or documentaries.

As for your claim that the BBC etc are “usually proven to be lying”, I have over the years been an occasional visitor to the news and current affairs studios of the BBC and other broadcasting organisations, but was always able to speak freely when being interviewed, and was never asked to take a specific ‘line’ or viewpoint.

    How cute and naive…

No need to force anyone to lie blatantly. Case in point did the BBC report about the Syrian minister press conference outside the UN? If only to claim he is lying and that absolutely no western agents ever trained, supported, or helped ISIS in any shape or form, just like no western agents ever helped jihad joes in Libya?

    Anyways…

Merry Christmas to you and everyone!

    lol

I don’t know about Denmark, but in France “newspapers” are just professional liars. It wouldn’t have served much.

Not any more ridiculous to say that when he held back talking about it for over a decade (not even in his own country) and waited till just before he took a job with an F-35 competitor, that his comments had nothing to do with his upcoming job.

How do you know his criticism wasn’t put under the rug, as is usually the case?

Or maybe he just didn’t voice it in order not to ruin his career?

Sitting there trying to sound smart in hindsight. Anyone can do that.

Hindsight as like: just the same “mistakes” again & again after Iraq, Libya & what not?

I doubt if there is anyone in the open-source intelligence business who regards RT as a reliable source.

There seem to be two sort of people: those who gobble anything the BBC/CNN/younameit reports (which is usually proven to be lying more often than not), and those who unplugged from the matrix a while ago and who seek alternative viewpoints. Seeking alternative viewpoints doesn’t mean you gobble it any more than you gobble BBC, it just means you try to inform yourself well enough to actually think the matter through instead of just regurgitating what you’re being spoon-fed.

Just wait and see that you were wrong.

    Surprisingly some people never learn.
