Location

The first one is probably Whenuapai, and taken by my brother when on his CMT there.

The second one ws taken by me (I think) at Milson Aerodrome, now Palmerston North Airport.

The one shown here is on finals at Wellington Airport, NZ.

I was having a Senior Moment when I called it a Valiant – of course I know it’s a Victor!!!

Vulcan Prang

Here are two Vulcan photos. One is a head-on at Ohakea Air Show (New Zealand) about 1960. The other is also taken at Ohakea, showing the (same?) Vulcan with broken undercarriage following a low-pass accident at the Rongotai Airport opening the week before. Those Vampires taking off are the RNZAF Formation Team.

This Vulcan was repaired, flown back to the UK a few weeks later, and crashed on landing there, killing all on board.

Here is a (not very good) photo of Agricola ZK-BMJ, taken, I believe, at an air show at Milson Airport, Palmerston North, New Zealand, in the 50’s.

I only had an elderly box camera at the time – my apologies for the poor quality.

Attached is a photo that I took of EP-9 ZK-BDP, probably at an airshow at Milson Airport, Palmerston North, New Zealand in the 50’s.
