I was waiting for something like this to arise, i mean come on, its one big aircraft!, but im sure the problem will be fixed this people are experts they know what they are doing, one thing that has got me wondering is, that maybe it will affect the airlines orders for the aircraft, but i dont think any airline will act irrationally until they know for sure if the problem will be alright or not!

Yes that exacty true they posted a message on the main page warning of the closure from the 24-26 June

That would eb true i think that CX operates like a 3 times daily service to HKG or its twice daily but yes there is alot more traffic on the SYD-HKG than the MEL-HKG. And that is good news to see that Virgin Atlantic is comming to Australia it would be to see them in Brisbane to Virgin Blue’s home base:D

The whole B717 fleet will be phased out completely by Mid 2005. The first A320 will go into service in July and mostly like the first B717 will depart around then!
