Wasn’t the original instrument panel ‘safe’ then ? Maybe a refreshing change could be a Spanish scheme instead of prentending to be something it isn’t!

Indeed! Only true colors are spanish or BOB movie paint schemes. About the panel, sure it might be safe, but it really looks out of place in an aircraft like that:( Just painting the cockpit black would make a huge difference.

naaah. I like buchons. You just have to paint them right and have a decent warbird cockpit in them!

The vulcan was a full scale model constructed on land, shipped in pieces and reconstructed under water. It’s still there although all you can see now is a corroded metal frame.

I wonder, seeing it with the Nimrod nose fairings removed. If it’s scrapped, would it be possible to restore the cockpit section as a Comet cockpit?

What’s there to preserve? All I see in the pictures is a 30% finished wooden fuselage that is very rotten. I would rebuild and make it more complete so that it actually looks like a flea.

To the North of the Boulton Paul factory at Wolverhampton a complete
dummy decoy factory was erected . It was later found that the Luftwaffe
had both marked on their charts,clearly marked “real” and “decoy” !
However the factory was only attacked once ,but they missed and hit
the nearby sewage works.Smelly ,I’m told by people who were there.

Wasn’t chemical warfare banned?:p
