Just before Valentine’s day, a friend sent me some photos of a ‘surprise’ he had organised.
I did not hear from him for a fortnight and started to wonder if his beloved had him at the bottom of the garden along with his ‘surprise’. However, he is still alive. I have yet to ask him how much it cost. Not the cost of the Nimrod, but calming his beloved.
Any more info on this? Is this a private cockpit owner or a museum? Would love to see more of it!
So is anyone willing to say how much of what we see in the pictures is original?
Thanks for the update!
Ex Retro Aviation?
As not a native English speaker myself, I too think it has more to do with the sellers education level:rolleyes:
I can confirm the absolute professionalism of Steve and Warbird Colour Services! He did a project for me and went all the way to get it 100% accurate. Indeed, he created a special font to get it exactly right! Amazing attention to detail and accuracy:eek:
Hope he gets better soon!
I would look through their records first.
Good luck with that! I know of an aircraft on display at their museum In Hatzerim. They deny having it!:rolleyes:
Or you could just see how far the wings will bend! š®
:eek::confused:
So are you going to rebuild UHC and UVR? Any pics of the other remains?
3 in Belgium, I believe. One almost airworthy, one static and a frame of one in the BAHAAT collection.
The airworthy one is OO-SOT, the BAHAAT is RCAF n°2364, owned by Eric Vormezeele.
I saw it. only lasted a couple of minutes though. its ridiculous that Ebay pulled it from auction!
Sad news indeed. Having seen footage of the wreckage and debris field, It went in hard and cartwheeled. Nothing left of the cockpit section.
lol:D
I totally agree. They succeeded in bringing the FW190 back into view as a type. Kinda like the Buchons did for the 109. Claus Colling and his team can be proud!
