In my view, no matter what actually physically happens to all the Concordes now, it’s already been thrown out to rot by BA. 😡
A good post there mate!
I wouldn’t have asked such a daft question, but after seeing him on that tape, it just bugged me and bugged me!
Cliff Richard
****shudder**** 😮
Hey, nice! 😀
LOL @ Kev; nah mate, that kit’s already been finished by someone else! 😉
Hmm, reading my last post, ‘Mrs Lancman’ doesn’t sound right; I hearby christen her Lancwoman!
Mrs Lancman has bought me an Airfix 1/24 scale Hurricane for Christmas, and has also promised to buy me the ‘Flight Of The Blenheim’ DVD, if it’s out in time!
Another general point is that you’d be absolutely insane to ever pay high street prices for DVD’s; try somewhere online like ‘Play.com’ for superb prices.
Example-something like a Lord Of The Rings film will cost you £20+ in HMV, but about £16 on Play!
Another example-the movie ‘Groundhog Day’ is £8.49 on Play, delivery included in the price, and currently £19.99 in HMV!!!
One thing, you MUST get a multi-region machine, and if you look around, you can also get one that has all the sound abilities you need built in. Mine was £150 from Amazon, a make called Yelo, and it’s multi-region, can play RCE discs, has the full range of rear connections, and decodes it’s own 5.1 AND DTS sound. An absolutely amazing machine! Yelo have since become Kiiro, and their machines are just if not more capable, and are cheaper still.
I usually believe very much that you get what you pay for, but in this case, you get tons of what you don’t pay for!
David-I agree with you entirely that the Bomber Hall has become a bit of a dumping ground, and has quite an odd selection of regular content.
Yes, the main doors are right behind the Lanc, and yes, these have been exceptional times for aircraft movements in and around Hendon, but come ON, the state of the Bomber Hall sometimes! 😡
LOL!
😀
It will be the only museum where you can view a victor and vulcan on display inside a hangar..!
…and a Valiant!
Wonder what they’ll do with the freed-up space in the Bomber Hall at Hendon? The rice and chips (half and half) Hampden when it’s finished I suppose, but what else?
I entirely agree with Peter and Kev, this situation is APPALLING; how are we supposed to support them when they state that if it flies they’ll support it, otherwise, it’s tin can time? What the hell kind of a ‘preservation’ is that?!!!! Whoever is making these decisions should be locked up and banned from ever being involved in ‘preservation’ again! 😡
…and we STILL don’t know what ever happened to the rest of that Lanc, do we?!
LOL @ the last two posts!
Agreed the music is pretty naff, but I kinda expect that from your average aviation video! Still some great footage of the Hurri though, hence my reccomendation at it’s current price. 😉
