I always take my own grub to shows-cold sausage sarnies, yum! But then again, there’s nothing quite like a nice juicy burger.
Trouble is, most show offerings are NOTHING like a nice juicy burger…
“Ground up bovine genitals with lard in a stale bap? Certainly sir, that’ll be £9.50 please”
Watch it, we’re agreeing again! I’ve used Ebay to both buy and sell, but by ‘eck, the prices some people pay for things that they could get WAY cheaper elsewhere, if only they tried…
Alexis, a scan would be brilliant! Jacko Jackson eh? That IS going back!
“Now wait for the where’s that thread gone posts…”
Thread? what thread?! 😉
Alexis, just out of interest, what are those 70’s BBMF brochures like then? There’s an amazing difference in quality just from my 1989 through to the the current one!
Brill, thanks!
Eeerie though…
😀 😀 😀 😀 😉
As an enthusiast of both marine archeology and historic aviation, those pics were great, thanks!
But I think that salvage-wise, you might find a few airframes that you could get back to static condition, but I can’t ever imagine an aircraft coming out of the drink (fresh or salty) and ever flying again?
That’s true, (We’re agreeing!!! 😮 ) just proving that one man’s gold dust is another man’s chip wrapper.
LOL, no such Bloggs, either!
Nicole Kidman.
There is no bad here.

Interesting point, about the value of these sorts of things. I think like the sort of stuff you get on Ebay sometimes, it’s probably only really worth what they buyer is prepared to pay.
Do Red Arrows signatures have a value? Maybe a signed print will become a collector’s item, and thus have a value; a signed brochure? I don’t know; it’s ‘only’ 9 RAF pilots at the end of the day, scrawling on a mass-produced brochure. But to 6 year-old little Johnny, who has roundels in his eyes, it would be absolutely priceless!
Many of my BBMF brochures are signed, by air and ground crew; they are worth a lot to me, in sentimental terms anyway, but who on the street wants a signature of Flight Mechanic Bloggs?
Aye, I’ve worked my way throyugh the LLA and BBMF, just in case! Cheers though!
Just realised, this sounds like an online appeal, didn’t mean it quite like that!!!
Lovely to put some more faces to some more names! (Even though Moggy C looks nothing like Neil Dudgeon really; pah, what a fraud!!!)
Well said, that lady.
Looking at these again today, I think it’s safe to say that THIS guy is our resident photo God! I’ve got BBMF books with poorer pics in than these! 😀 😀 😀 😀
