I didn’t realise that the Hendon Bev was still RAF owned, I’d always tut-tutted at the Museum for letting it get so bad and then just scrapping it-sorry, Hendon! 😮
Well, I think that the way warbirds are flown in this country is wonderful, and doesn’t need to be changed.
That is all.
Done! 😉
Great stuff-I love cockpit shots!
A great idea for a topic mate, even though, at the end, you’ve answered it yourself really-if only we could shake all their hands and say ‘thanks’, eh?
You could always save yourself a journey and just watch a tape of this year’s…or last year’s…or the year before that…
I’M KIDDING!!!!!!!!
(Lancman does his mag-drops, and runs and hides anyway!!!):p
Best of luck Richard-to be honest, as I couldn’t remember who it was on here that had been crusading for poor old Elsie, I just assumed the bloke in the article must have been the same bloke from here! Now I know different.
May I suggest you ring the editorial team rather than write to them? It will speed things up, and you may get a better reply that way, too.
Again, good luck and keep us posted!
Sounds like most of us have our own reheat! 😮
LOL, love ’em, that’s me going to bed on a chuckle, cheers! 😀
ROTFLMAO @ you lot!
Who told you about my Maglites then?!
‘Down…down…steady…steady…bombs gone…phew, run away!’ 😮
Cripes, after reading Ashley’s first posting in this thread, I thought for a minute that I was married to her and no one had told me!
Mrs Lancman is quite tolerant of my affair with the four engined mistress, and is appreciative of it as a type, while not really understanding quite why I get so moist at the sound of four Merlins running in perfect harmony. To her credit though, she enjoys the whole of an airshow, an enthusiasm which rubbed off onto little old cynical me, who usually just stood tapping his foot and looking at his watch until the BBMF were up! Now, I can appreciate the oohs and ahhs made by Joe Blow when the Harrier does a Hover etc, all the usual stuff that used to bore me a bit.
If it helps though, I hate bog seats that are left up, too. I’ve seen the kind of things I deposit into one of those bowls, and the sooner a lid is shut on it, the beter!!! 😮
Good grief, I thought there’d been some sort of an official announcment there for a minute!!!
Phew, that saves me having to dig through my manual to find all that!!!
I spent ages tracking down an old copy, and now the b*****ds have gone and reprinted it, typical!!!
Here’s something from POC that IS a clanger, as far as I can see-the more commonly called ‘****y Starr’ starts the novel being known as ‘Billy Starr’, and there’s no explanation for the change that comes later! 😮
Point well taken, and in my defence I’ll say that I bought FlyPast regularly for about 15 years, before it finally got a bit too jet-heavy for my liking. (The Delve period!) I’m buying it more again now, and have just been out and bought the new one- the Lanc content is great, surpassing the amount of coverage I was expecting by far.
Back on topic, does anyone else agree about the video idea?
