Fantastic progress, keep it up guys!
Ooh, that fin flash looks like it’s finally been tidied up?!
Hmm, true, true.
Then again, if the ever penny-pinching MoD looked at the BBMF budget during a tough year, saw that there was already a civilian Lanc flying and decided to save themselves some money…
In the case of PA474 at least, hell yes!
1600 hours of spar life left would certainly last a good few years, as it’d never fly as much or as often as PA474 does!
Best off left as it is though I think, to be honest.
Couldn’t help but be amused by the sight of a drowned aluminium step ladder there…
Bad luck, everyone.
Been dry all day here 60 miles away, though that dioesn’t mean much if it’s peeing down there of course, or if the land just isn’t draining…even if it’s sat and dried all day, surely it would really had to have gone some to be suitable for thousands of cars and people tomorrow I’d have thought?
Not my cup of tea as a show anymore- way too big, and far, far too expensive- but, a real shame for those that did want to attend nonetheless.
jimie, bl00dy sneaky fox, trying to get free advertisment, , Moderator’s ought to do something about it.
I’ve reported it, so I’m sure a kindly mod will deal with the spammer shortly.
By the way, PA474. I think the only original parts on it are the casings for the 4 lumps and some of the instruments, and possibly some of the skins.
I’d say that’s going a bit far!
A staggering decision, made very late in the day…as the song goes, I predict a riot!
Surely it’ll take a lot more than getting ‘the systems checked’?! I thought it would need a new spar for a start?!
*strokes chin and ponders*
Just been a piece on the BBC News at 1, too.
Quick, think of a tenuous historic link…a Chinook once lifted the CWH Lanc!
There, much better.
