Nice to see the team shot- a justly proud bunch, I’d guess!
I’m sure the vets will still love seeing her on Friday! I did wonder about potential thunder-stealing when I saw the nose-art pics, though. 🙁
I think that’s a great idea about positioning the poppy drop symbols with the COL crest on the starboard side- helps keep the PA474 identity separate from the aircraft she is ‘playing’ that way.
Beautiful photos, of a great paint job!
BBMF not adding 474’s own poppy drop symbols to the nose art this time round then?
Brilliant!
Hope someone comes along with some pics!
Some gorgeous shots there- particularly nice to see a visual update on the dear old Blenheim.
I hope everyone able to attend photographs the hell out of this day for the rest of us!
Looks like it all went very well for sure! Soon the world will have one airworthy lanc again until FM213 takes wing again.
Is FM213 grounded for some reason then?
Oh, they’re fantastic! How I wish I could save those onto my PC- the one from inside the cockpit in particular.
History Channel, eh? Is that about the BBMF 50th, or the Lanc overhaul in particular?
Yay, go on girl, give it some welly! 😀
You know, thanks to jackattack I’ve currently got over 80 photos from the overhaul saved now! These are great, such a tease with the new markings not really showing, and it looks to me like there’s some jiggery-pokery going on on her nose there- covering the Phantom until the big unveil, maybe?! 😀
I would hate to have seen her sit outside like the lanc/lincoln did at sandtoft!
Quite right.
My apologies for a poor tone; I’m not having a good day at all.
Terrible waste of a Lanc with good potential, this one; some will say Weeks ‘saved’ it, but what’s the point of it spending it’s days in storage because rich boy there has got so many other projects on the go etc?
They are two completely separate books. No.4 is okay, but it’s not a patch on the more usual Garbett & Goulding content of the other 4 books in the series.
Hot damn, that looks good! 😀
Just noticed the heads-up re. the paperback, and have just gotten myself a copy from Tesco. Cheers!
