Right here it goes , both grandads worked at nearby airfields in the 80’s [RAF Wyton & Alconbury] The one at Wyton used to clean the aircraft after flight and the one from Alconbury used to drive a massive lorry :one of his duties was crash recovery.
My father works at a near by compossite factory which used to build replica aircraft , one of them was the F5 Tiger at Alconbury gate. He was also involved in the restoration of a D.H Vampire T11 XE998 with this aircraft they won the Mike Twite trophie.;)
So with all of this going on around me i got into aviation fairly early, i ‘am a big fan of EE Lightning’s and collect anything to do with them and i also research the history of RAF Upwood where i live, all the best Matt:D

These would all live in a big hanger in my back garden at RAF Upwood………think i should have a few bloodhound missiles too!
