Hi there Shabby, fingers crossed i’am planning to visit the museum this year…..can you tell me if you can see the Canberra…if so do they ever open her cockpit ?
all the best Matt;)
Morning guys first of all well done to all the Staff and other exhibitors for not letting the weather beat them….it was a great event and thankfully the rain eased a little on Sunday to allow the covers to come off of the cockpits and the aerobooters set up there stalls I managed to find a nice piece of a Firestreak missile and a lovely early photo of XR754 , enjoyed catching up with friends and making new ones and totally overwhelmed to have won an award with XR754 thank you to everyone who voted for her.
Already planning next year’s display…..and investing in a bigger umbrella.
This would be a great photo opportunity.
PM sent Derbyhaven.
Hi there PM sent
How do you think the event would run without the cockpits?
Hi guys had a great weekend catching up with friends and looking through the aeroboot , many thanks to NAM for looking after us, it does feel like a little kick in the guts when you read comments on here like “it’s the TLC shown towards the non-glamourous, non-pointy nosed cockpits that wins everytime” ……..please understand how hard it is the restore pointy nosed aircraft too on a tight buget and to move them safely too and from the event, i do hope people enjoyed looking at XR754 and the other jets on site for the event as me and my father enjoyed looking at everyone else’s hard work.
