Hello all i thought i would re-post the pics of WH887,
On the 24th of August me and my friend Sean Edwards left Upwood at 5.30 in the morning to collect our new project Canberra TT18 WH887. It was a long day covering 420miles round trip, first down to Bristol to pick up the ejector seats and pay for her. Then on to Hampshire to pick her up , we finally got back to RAF Upwood at 4.30 getting many funny looks on the way:eek:. WH887 was finally back in the hanger at 8.30 that evening ….. some 50+ years after she left. For the lastest news on WH887 make sure to have a look at Seans web site http://www.rafupwood.co.uk
I wish to thank everyone involved in the move …you all know who you are!

Out side the guard house on returning back to Upwood

Many thanks to Tom from TMW for all of his support and for unloading her.

Finally upright out side hanger 1

All tucked up in the warm ready for lots of TLC;)
If anyone has any spares that would help me and Sean with WH887,from dials to nav hatch ,anything please get in touch ,all the best Matt Buddle;)
There is a very nice FGR2 [XT914]up the road from me at RAF Brampton on the gate, there are wispers that the base is to close down and relocate at Wyton in the years to come though, so not sure what will happen to XT914:eek:
It was finished early : [The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.]:diablo:
Well she has gone off of Ebay now ……… i wonder where she is going ,if anywhere? 😉
Many thanks for your offer, we will battle away his weekend and let you know how it goes, i think your Canberra at East Kirkby is an Ex Upwood bird too:D
Cheers , going to have another go at the door this weekend:oand i’am armed with lots of WD40:diablo:
