haven’t posted for a while – been taking shots of REAL planes lately. hehe
here are shots from recent multiplayer flights that i have done with a friend,

thanks
Beautiful shots, welcome to the forum. I hope to be able to try some more long exposures myself at NEMA.
What shutter speeds did you use for the two departure trail shots?
great shots Dan, and Welcome! 🙂
NEMA is a great little airport to have as your local! 😀
Thanks lads
Adam; The AN124 and DHL were shot from near to the flying club at a small car park overlooking the DHL ramp, The rear view of the AN26 ,just round from there near the BMI hangar, the L100 from a road that leads to 2 long stay car parks (at a security checkpoint access gate) the 737 from behind a business park which overlooks the runway end. Hope that helps, not too sure of EMA places, i tend to look at roads that appear near to a perimeter fence on my sat nav and head for them at airports i am unfamiliar with.
James: i’m sure i’ve posted some LCY shots before, be happy to make a wee post of some better LCY shots if you like.
thanks! 🙂 what zoom is required for the shots from near the flying club and the BMI hanger?
great shots!
whereabouts did you go for your shots at NEMA? they are interesting spots
beautiful shots Tony! were you by Myrtle Avenue?
Sorry that I haven’t been around recently….my Summer kinda got ********d up after my photography trip to PMI ended in disaster when I was robbed of approx £2000 of equipment…. 350D, 18-55mm, Sigma 50-500, memory cards, batteries, the lot. I’ve spent lots of time trying to get myself back on my feet and sort things out with the insurance, and I finally (as of yesterday) have my 350D and Bigma back.
damn! sorry to hear that all your equipment was stolen. thats just nasty. now that you’ve got equip back, you’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for! 😀 looking forward to seeing new shots from you. 🙂
fab shots Adam wonder why the RAF SAR Westland Sea King HAR3 was at LHR for?
James
that’s what I’d like to know. 😀 It didnt stay for all that long; engines were only off for a short time before they were started up again, it did a short taxi to a spot in front of T4, then took off vertically, heading south.
thanks everyone for the comments! 🙂

night shots coming up!
That’s great. Is it going to start with an earthquake? Birds? Snakes? An aeroplane…?
😀
something about “Its going to start raining Scorpions earlier in the day and they are going to eat most people (these are man eating scorpians that mutated in the radioactive waste from nuclear power stations). nibble nibble nibble.
those that have insecticide and manage to survive by killing the scorpians will choke in fumes from cars and planes and the ‘endtimers’ will ravage every one else still alive. the endtimers will then drown in the seas and lakes of blood. the end.”
whose for Crumpets, iced buns and Yorkshire tea? 🙂

I’m doing all that, it’s just when I take off, I cant seem to keep the aircraft at a crusing level, I either keep going up or down
you’re probably too heavy handed with the joystick. remember, you’re ‘flying’ a ‘150 tonne’ aircraft, not a nimble fighter jet. relax, and move the stick slowly and gently. dont try to correct the aircraft too quickly.
