I agree with Tom, the re-paint looks awesome! By the way, how do you add dirt?

there’s no right or wrong way, and there are many ways of doing it. but the way i do it, is to (if you photoshop) use the ‘burn’ tool, which darkens colours. another technique is to use the pencil tool to draw in some black/brown etc spot, and then to smudge them.

here is what i have done for my wings and one engine, using both techniques.

the most important thing to do though, is to use photographs and put dirt on your aircraft in places where dirt shows up on the photograph. its no good at all to put dirt all over the place just where you thing it looks good. find shots of dirty aircraft and use them as reference

another little preview of the Ryanair 737 that i have been working on. from a distance it looks ok, but as you get closer to it, it starts to look messy and nasty – i have a lot of work still to do. since i last posted a preview, i have almost totally repainted the whole thing twice.

engines are moreorless done complete with dirt, and a representation of the warning stickers; perhaps a little work on the pylons still to do, need to do the winglets, edit the title colours to make the blues match, and the wings have hand painted realistic dirt and muck.
