Why do airlines get in weather situations like that?. I understand they operate within safety limits and no danger at any moment….but…..wooww. Passengers get scared to death. Went to the airport again, and even three approaches on another CRJ.
Slept on a room and saw a face I had never seen before on the wall, for a couple of seconds. I thought it was a nightmare. On the following morning, as I told the owners of the house about it,they got pale and showed the photo of a man that had died there, and it was the same one I had seen. Explanations?. I prefer not thinking about it. Just to tell that I wasn´t told, that in that room I man had died and never seen the photo before. I was so chilled that I didn´t think about it for a long time. I don´t know what was that, but there´s not logical explanation, even for a racional mind like me.
My deep condolences to the relatives and friends. Terrible event.
I wonder why sometimes alcohol makes one behaves so stupidly. Weren´t they awared that they were risking their lifes?. I could understand (not applaud of course) one being agressive since acohol make people to act as they really are, but risking your own life??????. 250 on board that plane which I suppose were scared to death.

Most of them linked to the same owners or holding groups (tourism) in the Canary Islands or Balerarics.
Rumours point merger again into BA….please, please….get us rid of Iberia:-)
Yes I flew all of them. The only emergency I had was on a B737-300 over Stansted when oxigen masks fell off due to presurization after take off, having ot land again. Nortjet was a good one, but collapsed due to lack of investment and strange management, and problably wrong of planes. What else Universair and LAC bellonged to the same owners…..and Aviaco was an airline with too many accidents at the time, not becuase it was unsafe but Iberia forced them to fly too the most dangerous Spanish airports where they didn´t want to operate. My best friend being a flight attendant had a crash landing on Granada in the late eighties with only two victims. Oasis…..mexican capital and bad management. Too many demises over here too.
Lauda Air apprencite. They used to be a fine airline, but lately demim uniform, no cabin service at all, but on the contrary good safety records. In international charter flights, I assume they continue handing out complimentary drinks and other food. They fly Boeing fleet and not really too many problems lately.
Well, not really. I suppose it was a charter flight. Sometimes we have technical stops of planes flying from Scandinavian to the Cannary Islands and medical emergencies of holidaymakers which can´t cope with alcohol and fear and have heart disorders. Sometimes air rage and many times emergencies. The airport is overflown constantly by hundreds of flights. So the percentage of incidents is quite frequent.
YESSSSS THE CITY OF SEOUL the same I flew to BKK a couple of weeks ago. I am glad to see it again. Great pics. I hope the rest of the airports of the world keep the spectators area, like in AMS…great place. Unfortunately when I stayed there the last time it was rainning cats and dogs and could go up there.
Iberia Regional or Air Nostrum bellongs to Serratosa Family, the richest one in Valencia, which owns several concrete factories, developing industries and many others. Initially they wanted to serve as Valencia airline, just to give non stop flight to Valencia businessmen, in many sectors that Iberia couldn´t afford having flights, due to costs. So they started to grow up and Iberia saw that it would be a fantastic option to put a claw on them, since they lack regional planes. Although a franchise, an using Iberia network…they have a different operative structures and Air Nostrum always decide where to fly. So sometimes they have duplicities as far as destinations are concerned. Nowadays, they have been awarded several years running as the best regional airline in Europe, and they really deserve it. Leather seats, ultra fine china, large meals, champagne in all flights, hot chocolate in breakfast and discerning service.
Yes, my local airport. No more technical stops over here….ohhhh. Well La Palma airport. A bit conflictive with many operation restrictions, one being wind all the time.
For respect to the victims, it´s not time to talk about political implications. It´s something so horrendous, that I have never seen something like that, and it´s not even worthy to think about it. I am really so shocked that I haven´t been able to watch news. I am a Red Cross cooperant myself and this afternoon we have been helping 500 saharaian kids from refugee camps down in the troubled country, to go back after a leisure holiday in Spain. At our local airport, while looking to their pristine eyes, sweet smile and inocence, I just couldn´t image what kind of human beings are able to destroy children……my mind can´t just cope with it.
Unfortunately I am not really confident at their success. Manston is too far away from London, ground transport and communication are not quite efficient, and people would rather fly Luton/Stansted where low cost offer the same fares (and even lower) than this airline, and it´s easier to get. I don´t see a really big catchement area in the Southeast to support a low cost the whole year round. In any case, good luck for the future.
