What kind of drugs are you taking?

I usually take different medicines at the same time, and it has really bad side effects. I do appreciate your nice words.

I don´t think the B7E7 is that modern either. Just get a A330, put them delta wings, dolphin like rudder, and Blade Runner interiors……hop….a modern futuristic airbus. Aviation doesn´t innovate too much. Travel lengh hasn´t improved much, and speed is the same as it was in the first time of the jet age. Why don´t we have a new Concorde, less noise, fuel efficient, and high capacity?. That would be real innovation, not a “trendy”, “posh design” new plane with not really speed improvement and based in traditional technology. I am not impressed by the B7E7

Swiss should have touched chocolate at all, since they have invented one stuff called milk chocolate, which is usually pure little cocoa and tons of butter, fat and other indecent substances. Chocolate makers aren´t using cocoa in big quantities because it´s more expensive. Appart from punishing the Third World trade. Most cocoa producers are underdeveloped countries who depend on their external sells. Brands like Nestle, Cadbury and other mass producers usually cheat the public, intoxicate children with unhealthy fats and contribute to harm men heart diseases. Chocolate should only contain no less than 70% pure cocoa, cocoa butter (which doesn´t contain cholesterol at all) and other ingredients like sugar, nuts, liquor and so on. That´s healthy and only the Belgiums are able to make perfect one. As you may know, Spanish brought chocolate to the continent from Mexico, and Belgium was a part of Spain, so they inherit the good chocolate tradition. A Spanish-French queen introduced it also in France in the 18th century (not sure about it), and Swiss just discovered a good way to get rid of their excedents of butter. Sorry for any Swiss reading the thread. Switzerland is a sweet and nice country, but……..I do hate their chocolate.

Great ones, specially the PIA ones. However I have to say that new livery is quite dull, boring and insipid. I see that Ryanair still operates the old B737-200.

We made one Bangkok-Chiang Mai and then, a Chiang Mai-Siem Reap-Chiang Mai (Charter on a ATR for the Spanish group) and both were OK, not outstanding. Interiors on the B777 were neat and clean, confortable and with lot of room. I love the B777 lockers…quite spacious and not hanging to much on the passengers heads. Breakfast was regular, but plentyfull for a 45 minutes…croissant filled with chicken creolle and mushrooms, danish pastry, tropical fruit salad, orange, tea, coffee and a bar of chocolate. European airlines should learn from THAI. ATR flight was longer and a bit more turbulent but nothing scary. We were offered with a full menu of Thai style pork in coconut curry sauce, rice, salad, and a discerning rambutan mousse followed by beverages and chocolates prior arrival. Charter flights crew were really friendly, and the ones on the B777, well regular…..not that smiling Thai one advertised. In any case not more “silk sari” wear on Thai girls. Regular purple uniform, and white shirt with orchids. Flights were punctual and checking procedures quite quick and effective.

Well, about Air Europa and Spanair flights and fares in the UK…have you tried in OPODO, I don´t know which web address is, but many friends of mine in the UK tend to book through them and it´s cheap. They usually work in conjunction with BA in places where BA doesn´t operate.

I wouldn’t say the planes are shabby Keltic. The fleet is young, our A320 in particular looked brand new, and even the older ones such as the MD88 we flew back in were well looked after- at least from the passenger’s point of view.

    .

That´s the main question. How can an airline have his new A320 looking so old in most of the cases?. Dirty ceiling and pannels, detached pieces on seats, creaks on windows, dirty fabrics and the aspect of external painting is really disgraceful. I would say that, it´s more an unsual findind a fit A320 than a “shabby” one. Iberia tend to have one of the best maintenance of the world recently. We are not so sure now. The number of emergencies have grown in an almarming way. A A340-600 in Havana aborted take off for creaks in the cockpit window, a piece of engine fell off a A320 in flight, engine failure over Granada. Spanair is not doing much better, with the problems in their rickety MD80 and the combustion chamber issue. The media and public are really concerned.

…and also a nice long hot cheese, egg and tomato pita bread sandwitch which was handed out by flight attendants with the tiny box on the picture.

How could anyone fly Iberia having alternatives?. It has just become the disgrace of Spain. Poor quality, rude crews, shabby planes, no service at all, poor maintenance lately. Horrible indeed. Nice photos anyway.

But who forbids operations in private Airports like Biggin Hill and Farnborough?. Goverment?, Local councils?. I still think Biggin Hill has a big potential since it´s the closest to the city centre.

How about some Chirizo in that Spanish omelette

Well, Steve, some people add chorizo, but I find it a bit too strong and too rich. In any case, small ones should be used not the one finds in supermarkets which is cut in rushes. Anyway some of the more usual variaties.
    -Onion
    -prawns
    -peppers
    -Serrano Ham (like Parma Ham)
    -mixed vegetables
    -Sparragus
But no one with cheese….I don´t know the reason

Well, Spanish omelette then, which is usually wrongly reinterpreted when cooked abroad. Although it admits hundreds of addings I post the plain one. Don´t think it´s easy. It requires a certain skill.
    -Three medium size potatoes
    -Three big eggs
-small garlic (I know, you British hate it. But a little bit gives full flavour)
    -little milk
    -parsley
    -Salt
-olive oil. No substitutive for this. No sunflower, no fat, no butter. Only real olive oil, which is colesterol free
    ——————————-
-Mash the garlic and little parsley and add it the potatoes which had to be cut into
small pieces. Then fry them with the olive oil (not too hot) but with not intense heat. You need a soft potatoes mash, not crispy ones (so never intense heat). With a fork remove it quite often, and break the pieces into smaller pieces. When soft remove the olive oil from the pan and drip the potatoes using a pasta dripper. Leave some olive oil in the pan.
Beat the eggs, add a bit of baking powder and a little milk to the potatoes mash. Mix it well in a bowl, and put it into the pan again (don´t let the pan get too cold). Bring it to the fire, and leave it for a couple of minutes, then using a plate turn it over to cook the other side. Spaniards don´t use plates, we just turn it using the same pan and making it fly……but it´s quite risky. Ometelle should be cooked, but not too much because it gets too dry. So watch out. Enjoy it
