I have flew it a couple of years ago, and I have to admit that I was impressed. I wasn´t happy, because it had had a bad reputation, and a couple of weird incidents/accidents in the past. But the flight from Madrid to Bucarest via Barcelona was quite enjoyable despite the not really friendly flight attendants which still had a comunist background behaviour. In any case I flew B737-300, brand new. Shinning, the crew image was just superb, with smart new uniforms, smooth fights and superb catering (with even full sandwitches service between MAD and BCN which only takes 30 minutes. All B737 were fitted with Screens (we had a film in a four hours flight, and the rest of the time flight data, maps, speed and all that stuff) and music channels. I recommend it.
Having the British gutter papers journalists around here?…..NO HELP, we just have enough in Spain. In any case, our tabloids (essentially magazines) will do the job very well, will harrass them all the time too. They have already found a house in La Moraleja (the yuppi part of Madrid), you know…..twelve rooms, fourteen bathrooms, two swimming pools….all that stuff.

Spanish people don´t have much problems to undestand portuguese (not Brazilian, whose accent is very different to the one spoken in Portugal). Portuguese written language is even easier. Same happens with Italian, which is very similar. BUT in Galicia (northwest of Spain) and where I live and formely forming a Kingdom with Portugal, we have Galician language which is virtually 90 per cent portuguese spoken with Spanish accent. Besides, most portuguese are able to speak Spanish at least in the North.

And Spanair one
And an Air France one also in Madrid
Nice pics, but you naughty Roger¡, you´re supposed not to turn on your digital camara in landing. You´ll be sent to prison next time 😀
Could be Mexico or Thailand. No plans yet.
Traditional smart uniforms are the best. Alitalia is the best one. I do hate the Lauda one. I think passengers deserve more respect. And the funniest I´ve ever seem, its former Avensa (Venezuela) ones. Ultra short skirts, and feathers…..and tight blouses.
I don´t particularly love this plane. I know it´s quite smooth and quiet. Here you are, my B717 before leaving in Madrid. Why don´t people close the racks before leaving planes….for the photos
Traditionally in that segment they used to give baguettes, muffins, filled croissants and so on. But….cuts, cuts, cuts.
That´s what I got on the SCQ-MAD 45 minutes hop, at an expensive fare on a Spanair B717. Almost low cost. Shame on Spanair.
Here you are the expensive menu. At least the prosiutto focaccia was good.
Having a new digital, makes one to use it all the time and even to play the fool of oneself…..about meals….why are meals and snacks in low cost so expensive…….10 euros for a coke and a tiny focaccia (italian sandwitch)¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡. In any case at 55 euros return, paying for the food is a big deal. SO bring your food to the plane.
