I am reading that 500.000 civilians are expected to be killed in the conflict. Just a practical question: I know it´s a bit dramatical. But all who support war so quickly…should you were a soldier in front line, would you be in favour?.
-Should you have relatives in the Iraq, would you risk their lives to set them free?
-Should you were an iraqi, would you be happy to be liberated like this?.
-Should you were a mother of a soldier would you be in favour?
-Should you were the president,,,,,,with the lack of evidences would you press the button for war. Please think well before answering. Sitting back in our sofas, is easy.

I haven´t got nothing personal against the french goverments that treat us like Ivory Coast, thanks Giscard….Keltic you are welcome in all the spanish military forums, come on man:cool:
To a militar forum, dear compatriot…opppsss NO, I would be shoot death. Nothing better than a nice civil plane fuselage. Anyway, some asumptions are not right. There are many extreme leftwings on the demostrations. Right, but from the 90% of the
ones who go to the demostration…..thousands from PP (Aznar Party), so this time it doesn´t have anything to do with. Only the arguments used stinks…..it´s quite delightfull seeing that according to Amnesty International there are more than 100 ditatoships in this planet, some with WMD and most of them causing attrocities….get ready guys….the three “Power Rangers” of the Universe (the ones at Azores), will start setting us free from ditatorship in our world. I don´t have anything against your personal love to the French, everyone share his affections as one pleases, but I prefer Chirac and the French (fortunately most of us in this country share that view) to the Spain of “Bienvenido Mr Marshall”, and our president making the role of Ms Lewinsky….for a bit of dignity, and pride. French army has been called to the Ivory Coast to serve as peace force by the three parts in conflict.
And in one thing you´re right. Zapatero is a prick. 🙂

Bcal. It was the first airline I flew on, and had regularly charter flights in the summer to the UK from here using Bac 1-11. Good memories.

it´s a really hard issue. The point here, is that they are upset because not body cares of them. The real problem is at what extend balckmail pays. If they are given food and petrol to dismantle their nuclear capabilities, what would be next?. The real issue, is that an attack or sactions by the UN ,could led to a devastated Seoul. They also refuse multilateral talks, and only want discussions with the big guy (the US) and the US doesn´t allow blackmailing……so I don´t know what to tell.

I have entered the web….75 euros per flight…..so 150 return to SPain is a good offer but not at low cost. I suppose they try to apply the low cost idea to regular fares, giving flexibility. That´s what domestic airlines are doing in Spain. Right now over here….Iberia, SPanair and Air Europa are having a fare war.
Spanair 30 euros all flights into the peninsula, one way
Iberia 25 euros……………..
Air Europa hasn´t published anything, but let´s wait. they can beat everything. No need a saturday night at destination, no return, and prices grow day by day. Purely low cost.
Embraer Legacy is based on the Emb135, but only as far as fuselage is concerned. It´s a new plane in equipment, performance and weights. It has two varieties: Shuttle for airlines offering only Business with 19 arrangements like Indigo Airlines, and the corporate version, much luxurious, and more range. Never confuse the Emb135 cofigurated in VIP with the Legacy. As far as EMB145, no low cost can´t be profitable with this aircraft. I don´t think the EMB135 is able to get into LCY…..the runway necessary is 1840 meters.

These leaders realize this even at the risk of their job. Even the French leader realizes this. That is strong leadership. The German leader I don’t think would stick his neck out for any risk. A safe party man.
Are you suggesting that people don´t know anything, and leaders have are in the possesion of the absolute right?. Just explain people things and you´ll get support. If leaders have failed to make us understand why the war is necessary, it´s probably because they don´t have solid arguments.

Get over it. War is not something that you anti-war people can stop. Get on with your lives. Saddam has to be taken down, and he will be taken down. I’m sorry it’s such an evil act to commit. Why does it matter to you if Spain’s government supports the United States. That’s their business.
Totally agree, regular citizens can´t contribute with anything to stop this. Saddam should be taken down, but I am not sure if with war. I prefer to let the countries to handle with their own leaders. Sooner or later they will fall down. I don´t think our leaders be really concerned about human rights in Iraq, but other perverse reasons.
The reason for real anger in Spain, is the change of orientation in our international politics, always orientated to the EU, the Arab World, South America and as a balance with the Anglo Saxons and Europe of the North in many fields. We don´t want to have bad relations with the US, because we all understand that they/you played a relevant role in the construction of Europe, and that Europe as long as we don´t spent more money on defense we can´t live without the US, but we feel that as friends and allies we should be able to decide if a conflict if right, wrong, concerns or not without being threaten, or insulted. So what our goverment has just done,is saying yes, yes, yes not only in this particular issue but in many others, in which we don´t have independent thoughts. Spain/US/UK it´s a real unreasonable axil.
The real issue is that Aznar has poisoned the relation with other European members, has put into risk the small european independence, damaged our links with South American (ask Mexicans what they think of us, for trying to pressure President Fox on behalf of Bush for the war), and has put Spain (considered as brother in the Arab world) as a potential target for international terrorism. We support the US in the Afghan and Gulf war but not now. The real anger is the “so close” ties with the US, over our dignity. Sorry for the long explanation. Friendship yes, but we are not another State of the Union, something which my president would like. And a president which I contributed to elect. 😡

people are so “intellegent”…when Bush became president so many were fearful of his campaign promise of “those are not OUR wars”…now we take it personal and you still have issues? For once stick with your “principles”. If you ask for something, don’t regret if it becomes true. You start seeing those antiAmerican protestors in S.Korea regreting.
I would love the current US administration follow that campaign promise…..but it seems that the concept “our wars” for the current US adm. is very wide and could extend to any part of the world, they consider “of their interest”. It seems that in the case of Korea “it´s not our war” despite being a threaten to the US, support international terrorism, being a bloody ditatorship, and owning WMD….difficult to understand why the same concept varies in an apparently same situation. I am not a radical pacifist, but sees double standards everywhere, and politicians trying to convice me with feeble arguments. I support the Gulf War, but not in this case. It´s a pure invation for economic purpuses. What it upset me, is my president (who I voted for) is using the same argument that Bush uses in the US, for two different societies (so much as Chinese and a Dutch).
