RE: Increased security at London Heathrow.
“Nice”, and unecessary display of militar stuff just to try to convice the citizens that the goverment has threatens under control. I wonder how a bomb attack could be averted by tanks. I suppose, tomorrow, Tony´s best friend in Spain (you all know who he is)will deploy tanks at Madrid Barajas airport too.

RE: SCREW NATO — Old Europe responds
Hey, hey, relax all of you. Personally I don´t care if NATO works or not. I hope it blows up soon. I find it a redundant organization, being created to fight the soviet agressive expansion, once the threat is almost over, this should be replaced by an European Armed force. Until now most decissions have been based on a consensus, and many countries were used to feithfull obey without disagreement. But time change and many countries are starting to tell what they think. It seems that many others like our shamefull goverment, prefers liking others boots than paying attention to what the majority of people really thinks. But as democracy is a good think, elections will put leaders in their right places. As democratic societies, some countries have the right to disagree and even use veto. I suppose allies decissions should be respected, as we are friends not henchmen. Some of you are just confusing things. The countries which have used the VETO didn´t say, they didn´t want to help Turkey, simply that it was premature and could harm the diplomatic effords still under way. The inspector report is on the 14th (I think) so it´s folly putting burdens on their way, let´s them work. If there´s a real danger, of course Turkey will defended.

RE: war in Irak and the Franco/German resistance
I am wondering myself why there should be an agreement. Most europeans won´t never accept the war and most americans approves it. So why are we trying to convice each other?. We have the right to oppose the war and not going and the US to go alone. Why the insistence is finding allies support?.

RE: Landing at R17. Madrid PIC
From a AEA B767 cockpit, recently
RE: Iberia gets crazy……low cost fares
Poor easyjet….too many enemies coming from everywhere. One can´t fight to anyone, because you could get lots of punches.
RE: Big and Beautiful from Budapest
It´s much more gracious, smart and beautiful than the B737….In fact I hate it. The wheel at the back was due to a faulty design, they calculated in a wrong way the gravity centre, so engines were so heavy, that extra support was needed on taxing.
RE: Landing at R17. Madrid PIC
Sierra Nevada is in Andalucia, surounding Granada.
RE: Landing at R17. Madrid PIC
Iberia had two crossed runways, and now a new long one has been built (on the right of the picture. I don´t know if you can´t see it on the picture). This in fact is the shortest, but used essentially for all landings and it´s long enough. Madrid Barajas is having major reforms…..two more runways are being built and two huge modern high tech terminals are also being built. The range of mountains there lie on the North and it´s the Guadarrama Peaks (the only close ski resort of the capital).
RE: Volareweb announces destinations !!!
I HAVE JUST BOOKED ONE TICKET AT 45 pounds returned from Madrid……GREAT…I love low costs 🙂 Sono molto felice, vado a Venezia……mamma mia¡¡¡¡¡¡
RE: My flights to UK
AEA, is not bad at all. SCQ-MAD is a 45 minutes flight and you get in the morning a fruit juice, coffee or tea, shortbread and a lindt chocolate. Fares are usually low and at almost a low cost basis.
RE: war in Irak and the Franco/German resistance
Don´t think only Germans and French public oppinions don´t support the war, but all the single countries. I feel that they are the only ones to do what their populations want them to do. Why they do it?. well, they are powerful enough to say what they really feel. The rest of the european countries who have shown shy and a forced aproval are into a net of interests to support the US administration (for example, Spain the support and assistance of the White House in our fight against ETA, and the American support in the Ceuta and Melilla conflict with Morocco). Appart from listening to their citizens will, they have economic interests as far as France is concerned and in the case of Germany (which pacifism is quite strong) it would mean the end of Schroeder. Also, interpret it as a attempt to gain an independant outlook to the UN decissions, and to restore european dignity. Of course to lead the way for future european independence.
