Well that was a brilliant piece of BBC TV… moving and well shot I thought. Worth the licence fee when the Beeb do something as good as that…
Great combat footage already – seems new stuff and if that’s CGI then it’s mighty impressive 😮
😮 Jeeze that was close….. listening to the ATC chat there was a lot going on at the same time unless it’s been edited down?
😮 Good grief….. 😀
you learn something every day. I always understood it was unique to a certain Mark of Hunters
It usually is, and is subject to much debate too…. With a Hunter fitted with the 4x cannon ports you’ll get a “Blue Note” when the harmonics are right with airspeed etc…
The Meteor has cannon ports too – hence the same effect at the right speed.
Nice shots Anna 🙂
Looking forward to our BofB weekend in September now! 😀
Looking forward to catching up with you at Kemble next weekend Neil 😉
Hope the JP is all nice and shiney for ‘that’ photoshoot we’ve got planned 😀
http://www.total.gb.com/set/docs/SET%20exhibition%20boards.pdf Page 3 contains a rather small map showing what I assume is the current national refinery pipeline network?
Having seen and heard Graham’s Spitfire in Birmingham last Monday (see other thread) I can vouch for it’s awesomeness…. :diablo:
😮 Thanks Mike  :diablo:
Spitfire In Birmingham Visited!
Popped along this afternoon to say hi to Graham and see the Spitfire for myself… Couldn’t have timed it better as he was just about to start it up as I arrived, so a nice Video was taken and is now uploaded to YouTube:

What an impressive sight and sound it was! Nice to meet Graham and have a good nose around the Spitfire… The 10 years of hard work was evident throughout, and hearing the Meteor reverberating around the surrounding buildings was awesome!
Some photos of the Lord Mayor’s Show which this was part of, including the obligatory shot of two forum members – as you do 😀
Thanks to Graham for inviting me behind the barriers for a close-up look, and nice to chat about the work that’s gone into this stunning Replica and star of Film & TV 😉

Thanks for the reply Graham – I will be popping down after lunch then 😀
Realy want to catch one of the runs 😀
And seen here http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=100291&highlight=coventry+midland+air+museum, taken a couple of weeks ago! Along with the Hunter which I didn’t realise was yours until now, very nice too!
The Lightning does look fantastic, and the Saudi scheme has really grown on me more recently. Be nice to see a Kuwaiti marked one aswel IMO.
Forgot about that thread – despite viewing it myself 😮
Just want to make it clear – I’m custodian of the Hunter not owner…. before the Museum shoot me 😀
I did used to work on her in RAF service at Brawdy, and wish I did own it, but it’s a permanent loan airframe from the USAF Museum because it was built as part of the 1950’s US / UK Military Aid Programme (financial aid given my the US to fund production batches of UK made aircraft)
Sorry this is going off-topic a bit 😮
