Well Luton is not to far from Old Warden so maybe something from there. I am sure Avgas at Luton as you still have light AC in and out. hopefully someone will post up Who what and why.

Monsieur Chabbert was the reason I did not go this year and will be the reason I do not go next year after the 2012 command performance.

Not that anyone will take any notice as the gate takings will not be hit one iota !

If it looks like a Duck, walks like a Duck and Quacks like a Duck I think it is a Duck.
I like Ducks even if the parts are replaced, new or otherwise as it is cracking to see these aeroplanes flying.

I think credit should be given to the people who are putting their hard earned into these projects and get armchairs in some way putting their efforts into a category, look at the 109 thread and the stunning work involved in the wings.

Look at this scene below, I think the quote “I dunno what makes em work” fitting. as the owners of these lovely rebuilt aircraft do know what it takes and all efforts they go to sauce original parts.

I guess because they came into service in 1974, in car terms making them a classic, well for insurance purposes after 2020 :very_drunk:

I think it was more about clearing the runway asap. engine would have to be shock loaded anyway.

I cannot see that this one was the Bill Miles Hurricane as the condition was no way near as good as this one unless a major resto had been done. I remember Bills stuck outside between tow buildings with a cover over it, cannot remember the wings though.
