On another point, and it might just be me, but what is that object seen at around 4.43 to 4.46 on the top one of the two links (Inside the Bomb Bay) posted by Trolley Aux? It looks awfully like a 50kg bomb laying on its side, but you then lose it under the cross member and the camera does not seem to pan back to it.
hmmm it does look very 50KG but looks like it is laying on the silt, how were these supported in the A/C ?

Blimey ! how come that video has only just been mentioned here? It has been on youtube since December 2011! and only 211 views.
I do trawl a lot of aeroplane postings on the tube but never come across this.
It is in far better complete condition than I had thought from the scans that were in the press releases it was more of a witness mark.
I am really looking forward to this recovery with interest as which I am sure is going to throw up some very interesting recovery and preservation procedures, I wonder what the underside condition is (or top side) ?
For comparison below

Just a thought, It could of been a lettered disc for entering a magazine area. You enter an area that may have some danger of explosion and the disc would allow identification to who was in the area, a bit like a dog tag.
