Old Warden memories, where do I start!

    Two SE 5’s (A & E models)
    Vickers Varsity, touch and go
Comet, Mew Gull & Hawk Speed Six formation.
RAF Jaguar virtual touch & Go (early 80’s)

None of the above cannot beat John Lewis in AR501 when she still had the clipped wing tips.

Big Beautiful Doll @ Redhill, unfortunately the clouds closed for much of the show. Great display though, Rob kept really close given that its a very unusual display line at Redhill.:)

Does anyone know which Hurricane will be at Woodchurch, In the past I’ve seen both the TFC and Breighton examples.

Nay my dear Cattermole, tis a biplane tourer from the 30’s,only 12 being built. The survivor,G-ABNX, was built in 1932 and was recently restored to airworthiness and I think is now based at Sywell.

    Slight correction Ant.

The Redwing is based at Redhill in surrey and is generally looked after by Acebell aviation on behalf of Redwing Preservation Trust.
Flew from Shoreham for many years.

    Thanks Philo,

That price of £649. for the Sigma 50-500 is by far the cheapest I’ve seen, Jessops want over £600 for a second hand one.

And thanks everybody for the input on this, I would dearly love a Nikon version but there is no way I can justify that sort of cash for just airshow use.

Thanks chaps for the advice, I had not even considered the weight penalty of this lens, I will add some ballast to my sigma 400mm telephoto to gauge the weight issue. I just wish Nikon made such an affordable and versatile lens

Now this is what I call a flypast, this trio are shown arriving at the 1963 Biggin Hill Air fair.

I would swap ten Mustangs, Corsairs and LA 9’s to get a Mosi back on the Uk airshow circuit.

But if your if your reading this Mr Grey could you ask Shuttleworth to bring the Hawker Hind along this weekend, as I would love to see it fly with the Nimrod.
