My first car was a beige (!) 1979 Ford Escort Mk.II.
AFAIK, it still exists, despite me selling it for scrap after it failed its MoT.

There is a photo of it somewhere… I’ll try and dig it out…

EDIT: I see some lists have been posted further up the thread, so, in order of acquisition, here goes (year acquired in parenthesis):

1979 (1990) Ford Escort Mk.II (details as above)
    1981 (1990) Mini Metro (scrapped)
1973 (1992) Leyland Leopard coach (still owned – Are PSVs allowed?!)
    1976 (1995) Leyland Titan B15 (bus – sold into further preservation 2001)
    1989 (1996) Rover 216GSi (stolen, later recovered damaged, w/o)
    1990 (1996) Rover 214Si (sold)
1979 (1998) AEC Reliance (coach – sold for spares recovery)
    1997 (1999) Rover 214i (Rover 25 shape – current car)

Only 5? This is going to be difficult…

    1. Poor grammar. Among other things, misuse of the apostrophe is guaranteed to make me fume.
    2. Inconsiderate motorists.
    3. Immigration.
    4. This politically-correct, namby-pamby nanny state.
    5. Chavs.

Can I just point out to you that the sensible requirement (I think suggested in the Highway Code or Roadcraft) for a motorist passing a cyclist is to allow sufficient clearance that should the cyclist fall off they will not be squished under your wheels.

    Say… 6ft?

    Moggy

    Well said, Moggy!

Plus, my dear old shape, I think you will find that, in the Highway Code, it says:
“If there is a suitable cycle path, use it.”
    (emphasis is mine)

Most of those around my area certainly are not suitable!

Rubbish! Everyone knows Kennedy is living on the moon in that B-29 with Marilyn Monroe.

According to that most reliable of sources, The Sunday Sport, that aircraft is actually a Consolidated Privateer… :p

    Here we go again…!
If you must shoot at them, for God’s sake do it with a water gun – Far more humane, and the risk of being hauled up before the local beak has disappeared.

Question for all the cat haters – Which would you rather have?
    Cats, or pigeons?
Pigeons and doves can be far more destructive. I speak from experience.

My eldest cat is an excellent hunter of pigeons, doves, rats & mice.

Elliott – That is one gorgeous kitty! 🙂
I have a black longhair who is as soft as ….!

spitfireman – My youngest cat Freddie (sadly no longer with us), used to enjoy sitting on my workbench watching my latest creation take shape.
He liked model railways too; he would often sit in the loft – on the tracks! – watching the trains go by.

    …and also Sabre BB731 (was that 19731, ex XD730?)…

It wasn’t XD730 – Along with XD707, it crashed on Kinder Scout on 22:07:1954.

No doubt a fellow Forumite can ID it! 😀

I too have an intense dislike for reality TV.
It is what I call “Lazy TV” – Basically, it writes itself.

…But as I see it Simon Cowell is a very sharp and astute business man and the X-Factor is his vehicle in effect to promote and advertise what he wants the public to buy, And its neither here nor there for him as long as it makes him money.

    But he’s still a twunt. And The X-Factor is still sh1te. :p:D

P.S. I cannot believe I have just replied to this thread…!
