Absoloutly brilliant. Bought back some VERY fond memories.
With regard to the Dan Air Viscount, is that an Alidair rear door that’s been fitted?
I believe the 146’s were destined for Ozjet, so not sure what is happening now. The MD’s are to be sold on and not operated.
The deal for the 146’s was completed before the denise of Ozjet. One is already parked up at BOH, with a second due.
As for the MD80’s, there is a problem regarding paperwork for the a/c and negotiations to acquire these have stalled.
However, I did make an interesting discovery…Blackpool is also seen as the hometown of the rock band Jethro Tull, so why can’t they have Jethro International… 😀
Now you said that………not me!!!!…………………..but I’d be honored
Great pics 🙂
I didnt know easyJet still operated -300’s?

Another one here:
If the Air Scotland 757 is to be GLSAC, which confirms Jethro’s suggestion some time ago where is N254DG/(GLSAC) now?? Is it still at Southend?
Not quite correct. I said that there would be two additional B757’s joining the fleet. One from the states, and one from north of the border. I still expect GLSAC (Currently N245DG at Southend) to revert back to its UK marks, and then the Air Scotland machine to become GLSAD.
There is currently a thread running in the Spectators Balcony (Spotters Corner) forum in PPRuNe regarding the reg changes affecting GLSAC if anyone is interested.
Also hear that Air Scotlands 757 will leave GLA on 25th april to join the Jet 2 fleet, Air Scotland will be operating 2 A320’s.
So I was right all those weeks back……………… 🙂 🙂 🙂 :). Although back then there was a possibility that the two Airbuses could in fact be two B737’s
I was once told by a Britannia engineer that It’s to do with the forces on the wing during flight forcing the wing backwards, If you stood at the nose of a BY 737-200, and looked aft, down the fuselage, the efffect of the light made it look far worse than it actually was.
