Interesting – for me the true Vulcan was always white – for obvious reasons. And because my early memories were always of white Vulcans painted in the colours for the role they were originally designed for – along with Valiants and Victors.

Just to clarify – household waste is collected every two weeks and recycled waste every two weeks, alternately, so there is a collection weekly but not of all the waste. That’s what all the fuss has been about and so far as I was aware it affects a number of councils in Wales as well, but correct me if I am wrong.

Well I DO want my bl**dy rubbish collected EVERY week, like it was before the usual cowtowing to Europe took preference, and like it has been in every house I have ever lived in since 19*******:mad::mad:

Now I wonder how you would know how much I have…and where…..:p

We will agree to disagree about radio 2 and without doubt there is an audience for it all. But that is not an argumant for not changing anything. It’s just that I see the BBC as a quite different institution and that is why I would change it.

Patten seems to be shaping up to be a rather more pro-active Chairman or whatever the job is now entitled, so I am sure we will see the dust being churned up a bit over the coming months.
