You can’t invent something that has always existed but if you mean when was the concept of time identified, it goes back into pre-history, surely.

Time is, after all, only a way of expressing the relationship of one fixed point or event to another.

Who mentioned religion? – not me. I suppose it must be possible to distrust science totally, as you seem to do, but I cannot imagine how. Science touches almost everything that happens in your life millions of times a day. And it all works and we know why much of it works. And the fact that science is on an infinite course of discovery should be lauded. New discoveries wuill be made every day enriching our understanding of the natural world and the universe.

But debate is not possible when there is total disagreement about the fundementals of the subject, so I don’t think you and I can advance our arguments with each other.
