Thats perfectly true Kev, but at least we can say, “We have lived” I wonder what “Nostalgic things”this modern generation will have ?.They will perhaps never know the tast of REAL fire toasted door stop slices of bread etc, WE CAN.

But that’s the point, Linc. Nostalgia means yearning for the past. Everyone of every generation can enjoy nostalgia, if they chose. No doubt your grandfather and mine were nostalgic and there is no reason why your grandchildren and mine should not be nostalgic for this decade. We can only see things through our eyes not of those older or younger.

I cannot truthfully say that I yearn for many of the things I remember and which have been mentioned in this thread, but some, amongst those I have mentioned I do yearn for.

By the way there is always dripping from the beef we cook because the butcher is THE BEST in Kent!!:D

Don’t know but I doubt things will grind to a complete halt on May 31st if the target isn’t reached.

They’ve got £155,000 in the bank so that should at least last them a bit longer.

All I’m doing is continuing with my small monthly standing order. Every little helps as they say. 🙂

Indeed it does, Hurn, and sadly my coffers finally ran dry after a few years of helping. So now I only have spiritual help to offer……:( Fingers crossed for a lottery winner’s generosity!!
