One of the reasons I do not doubt that the dead has been done is that if it were all a sham and the truth came out, as it inevitably would in these days of whistle-blowing and loyalty deficit, Obama would be dead in the water with all hopes of a second term as likely as a squadron of pigs above the White House.

Remember the old saying, Linc, “one man’s perjury is another man’s truth”.;)

“IF”” was there any need to go in heavy handed?. Why when Pakistan is our allie, did they scramble a jet?.
It’s a lot of speculation, and we wil only get to know the full details when Obama thinks the world should know all the pertinant facts.(IF EVER)
Can’t see the point of stating anything else, so I will bow out now.;)
    Jim.

Linc, this is a bit worrying: “but “IF” possible made to face trial, and a record made of the execution”

That pre-supposes he will be found guilty and executed. So what is the point of a trial…..??;) He’s better off dead and ultimately forgotten. A show trial would provide months or years of publicity – not desirable at all.

Picking up Moggy’s point, Linc, what would you therefore accept as “beyond reasonable doubt”?

On balance I accept that he was killed and dumped at sea. End of story. I doubt the world is a safer place but for several thousand people his death has brought “closure” to their anguish and psychologically the death of a figurehead has some effect on his followers. Whether that effect is positive or negative remains to be seen.

I endorse everything posted here. I relished his programmes, presented with great knowledge and genuine enthusiasm but with few of the gimmicks so often associated with this type of programme. A very sad loss indeed.
