No, I had absolutely no expectation of an apology.

As you described the Commander as “our old friend” I presumed that you and others here knew him personally.

And, since I have no line to carry on with, there is nothing to take to PMs.

You do yourself no favours by making a false accusation of my intentions, and by failing to take account of the original tone of this thread.

I am delighted that so many people were able to demonstrate peacefully and appalled that the demonstration was marred, as in so many other cases, by the criminal activities of a minority.

Perhaps you would be gracious enough to apologise for your comments.

Incidentally, I do not know the Commander personally, but by implication you and others here do.
