If anyone ventures into northern France I can strongly recommend the exhibition centre at Agincourt. It has grown from a few exhibits in a small barn to a large, comprehensive, interractive exhibition and I have rarely been there without at least one or two coaches from France and England. Our grandson has now been 3 times, I think, and enjoys it more each time we go. Highly recommended.

That just shows how important good teaching is. My experience suggests that too much teaching is driven by an agenda set by politicians and not by educators.

One thing is clear from this thread. There is a very wide diversity of the way it is taught and the effectiveness of the teaching.
