I think it’s absolutely marvellous, Twin Otter. I misssed it yesterday for some reason and certainly would have posted a response had I seen it. I wonder how many other aviation museums know of Empedia or any other similar websites. Food for thought for a few, I would imagine, and I’m sure it will boost your attendances this year.
    Thank you for bumping it.

Perhaps the bomb could be dropped before the restrictions begin, thereby reducing loss of life to next to nil but forcing the abandonment of the dreaded spectacle altogether. And if that’s in bad taste the loss of life could be nil.

Having quoted my post, you seem to have another good old rant about why it’s all wrong and who’s to blame, but I asked people how they would deal with the problem. So far no one has responded.

It is good and proper to criticise and complain but I think that in doing so we also need to have some idea of how the problem shouild be solved.

Yup, it is the market. And the only “right” price is the price something can sell for, be it a banana, a car, a house or a movie star.

You will find that in order to build the 7,000 to 10,000 required they have to build both on land and out at sea. Like you they do not necessarily offend me aesthetically, but their offence is in their inability to produce electricity, so they are little more than staggeringly expensive installation artworks.

And so having made your points with great strength, what would would you all do? I know it’s difficult to exclude politics, but just taking the amounts of money involved, how do we reach a point where we are not continuously borrowing more than we earn, or at least, reducing the deficit to a point at which the interest ceases to accumulate so that we can at least service the debt, comfortably.
