Well, even though any damage would have to be considered to be ‘operator error’, in today’s litiginous society I’m sure you could find someone to sue for having undergone such a devastatingly traumatic experience. Twyford’s maybe?

Many thanks for the tip. Twyfords is as good a place to start and I’ll take it from there…..:)

You bring a breath of fresh air to this thread. I have visited and worked in Scotland with varying degrees of frequency for more than 40 years and count dozens of Scots among my best acquaintances and friends. Not one has any aspiration to independence and all but 2 voted against devolution – twice.
They all regard themselves as British but enjoy Scottish culture in all its marvellous manifestations. As I do.

While we all love the Spit we should remember that March 5th is also the anniversary of other significant events:
5 Mar 1912 – First use of an airship for military means (Italian recce mission over Turkey)
5 Mar 1943 – First flight of the Gloster Meteor
5 Mar 1962 – Mrs Baloffski’s eldest boy was born!
Well, of course the last is clearly the most significant! But that aside I did not know the Meteor’s first flight was the same day as the Spit.
I just want to see as many Spits as possible at either Legends or the Anniversary Show in September – more than 16 hopefully!!:D
