Peedee is just posting to provoke us to respond to the nonsense – and we fell for it!
I don’t need to ponder it, GA. In fact I now remember the case very well. Firstly it exemplifies my argument against capital punishment and secondly it shows that we should not unquestioningly accept the evidence of scientists at face value.
I would hope that the prosecution pathologist was not only struck off but tried for witholding evidence from a court of law.

at 30 this year I’m not exactly ancient! :p Just thinking, the 36 will actually be 14 years old… God I feel ancient now!
Well for a teenager with, no doubt, other things on your mind that is a neat bit of modelling.:) Whereas I look ancient but don’t feel it…..;)
A couple have survived from then but most are builds from within the last 10 years. That said the 36 will be about 12 years old I reckon… 😮
When you were just a lad…;)
Oh dear…………….!:D
How interesting – I used to live near there. Yes, I do not doubt the integrity of forensic personnel in any way. I certainly couldn’t/wouldn’t do their job!!

Yes, I do!! And I think you are right about a forum member owning “the” chair.
ARCO’s third completed project this year: G-DHCZ flew for the first time today in very poor weather.

Marvellous sight. Where was it hiding away? – I was there yesterday but didn’t see any sign of it.
Pete second answere, yes, but sometimes no.depending on specifics.
Forensic science being falsified?. You obviously have a specific case in mind, would you like to share it?, for discussion/comments.
Lincoln .7
Yes, I should have realised that was the wrong choice of word, in your case!! I should have explained it better by saying that the methogologies for the forensic evidence has been questionable, not for any nefarious purpose, but because that is the nature of analytical science. it is not perfect.

Well I am not so sure about that. Yes, of course, there are judges who make, in our minds, ludicrous judgements but then those make good news stories, not the judgments that are right and proper. I also think the pendulum has swung too far towards “youth”. In many matters and particulalry the law we need depth of experience and that only comes with age.
So, you agree with my second anwser, or…?
I don’t really see the connection. When we are discussing cause in murder it is not only superior technology, detective investigation into all the aspects of the case plays a major part. And there have been cases where forensic evidence has been falsified and found inadmissable against the weight of all thr other evidence.

You can picture that on Joe Smith’s desk, can’t you?
