Since atheism is not believing in a god then I doubt that any of those mentioned would be atheists. They, like many millions of others regard themselves as Christian, whether they frequent church or not. And of course Christianity has within it many churches. I would also suggest that atheists are in a minority in most of the world since the majority of the nations espouse belief in one god or another. And even in those that don’t there is still overt or covert religious worship.

But , for me, our characters die with us. Whatever happens in our brains to produce so-called “memories” and dream fantasies also dies with us. We are only sentient beings when we are alive. So there is no part of us which can have “lived” before. In my opinion, of course. Matters of the supernatural can only ever be matters of opinion.
