I think it is black or white with TG – you either love it or loathe it. Upwards of 7 or 8 million seem to fall into the first category, as do I, which leaves about 40 million plus TV adult watchers who do not.

Those private collections which either have or are best able to secure funding through creative marketing combined with generous donors, will survive. The trick is having a volunteer management team with the dedication and ability to achieve both. Many people are not able to travel widely and so the more dispersed collections there are, large or small, the greater the chance we all have to enjoy slices of aviation history.

Having just read the article in Flypast how about B29 Fifi and a Liberator for Legends?? And Fifi flew “fare-paying” passengers – now that really would be something!:D

I understand exactly what you are saying, and it comes down to personal preference. For me escapism means a bloody good plot led, cinematically exciting, film. If all its good for is “totty watching”, then that’s the snooze button for me.

Well they certainly acted up kacking it;)….great fun though, as all their madcap adventures are, however planned and set-up they inevitably are and the baby Stig at the end – classic Top Gear.

Rather unfairly, I think most people assume Mike Batt created the Wombles.

Do they? Although I was unaware that she and Max Robertson had divorced some years ago. He died last year.

My bank, my broadband helpdesk and my credit card company find it hilariously amusing to talk to me in a ridiculous parody of an indian accent.

I do wish they would stop trying to be funny.

The poms certainly have the ozzies by the jugular and barring a complete change in the oz psyche the Ashes will remain in the northern hemisphere. Pointing’s display of unprofessional intemperence, for which he could be banned, sums up their position.
