Exactly my thought as I read this thread. It is typically narrow-minded thinking from accountants, who will probably end up shooting themselves in the foot as the property lies empty with no rent being paid.

I did not know of this collection and it would be a great shame if it is dispersed away from the dedicated people who have committed themselves to it for many years.

But in response to your main point, I do, in fact, agree with you. Integration is the better word and, pace Graham, I may have picked up on his use of assimilation. So I will re-phrase my argument: those who want to integrate are and always have been welcome. It is those who have no desire to integrate who are not welcome.

That I did not know. So, the fact that some “warbirds” are thrown around the sky for our extreme pleasure, and others are flown more carefully has nothing to do with “life” but more to do with the owner’s choice and pilot disgression, perhaps?
