I think there was a thread about this many months ago. Before trying to be funny in public it’s probably a good idea to engage the brain first.

And violence achieves nothing. If caught the thieves should pay back what they stole and then have to stand from 6 in the morning until midnight at the town’s war memorial wearing a placard saying that they stole the charity box.

That seems a very fair analysis from one on the “inside”. And our conclusions are similar. I suppose the real failure, although unimagined at the time, has been the replacement of strong, practical courses and qualifications with a variety of pointless and useless degrees of little more value than the paper they are inscribed upon.

Because the 6 listed anniversaries, apart from the first, are not that significant, are they? And I don’t think any of us needed reminding of the first.

Did I imply that marketing is obliged to be responsible? I was merely making the observation. I think some marketeers do behave more responsibly and do not always target the weakest links.
