You don’t need to. The country of manufacture is in the specification. Since it doesn’t matter to me where things are made I wouldn’t need to look anyway. The point I was trying to make was that that it is all very well to boldly state your objection to buying Chinese produced goods whereas the reality is that it is almost certainly unavoidable.

You are indeed, Cabbage. Presumably you have evidence to support your contention that they are no better than footballers. Whether they are great or not is a matter of opinion. The accusation that they are elitist time wasters is a criticism requiring a degree of proof.

A personal slanging match about who thinks they are great and who does not is childish. I think they are a fine team as are others, but equally I am happy for them to be feted around the world. Cabbage’s remarks are best left ignored.

England – achieved the whitewash of India ( sorry Kabir and sorry Sachin missed out on his 100th 100, but he’ll come back in the ODIs ) so now they can go from strength to strength!!:)

It closed in 1968 but was badly damaged during the war so perhaps many of the original buildings were never rebuilt. I think the terminal escaped but fell foul of the demolition ball, although you do not recollect any buildings. Someone will know for sure.

Not harping on but making relevant comments. It all illustrates the changing nature of our language – for good or ill. I am uncomfortable with many of the changes, but they will happen regardless, just as they always have.

It is a great shame the marvellous art-deco terminal building was not preserved.

The new government might choose different allegiances from Gaddafi’s.

A few of the WW2 pilots would describe the “‘drome” – Neville Duke was one and I think Paul Richey as well and I’m sure others as well.

“Lets just keep speculation out of it” – that could/should be the forum’s watchword!

No doubt that is to come but for now your remark is a bit premature……where is Lady Be Good?
