Pagen – I respect your honesty in making that admission! The only time I “looked” at a copy, reading being too strong a word for it, was when the newsagent delivered the Sun once during the Times’ strike!
I wish the politicians would leave it to the police and the lawyers. Tomorrows “hearings” will be an irrelevant sideshow for the MPs benefit – no one else’s.
I reckon the populace will have lost interest and/or forgotten about it by the end of the Summer.
There are many other arguably far more pressing matters requiring the government’s time.

I thought it was p*****g with rain most of the weekend, wasn’t it? Will it ever stop? Mind you it is probably just another average British Summer.

No idea what you are talking about………….:confused:And I am also becoming more than a little irritated by sanctimonious politicians, many of whom have either hobnobbed with the satanic press or had their heads in the trough – or both – now defecating on the very people they were in bed with a few weeks previously.
If people have broken the law, whomever they are, they should be prosecuted and jailed. But don’t lets pretend that the public who, in their millions, buy and read the salacious gossip, give a damn.

“That’s probably an oversimplification but it isn’t all about money; there are ‘cultural’ problems too. I believe that overall it is possible to raise more arable calories from any given piece of land than it is to raise livestock calories. But to do that the way-of-life that people have known for millennia would have to change. Not easy!”
Precisely – you have hit most of the nail on the head. Notwithstanding this when you add on to that problem the corruption and internecine battles in most of the continent you have a recipe for disaster, which is turned into catastrophe when there are floods or droughts.
But we still pay, to return us to the title of the thread.

A fair criticism that we are criticising the Welsh without tasting, it but why bother when a) it is still so young, so simply cannot have the depth of old malts and b) I already have 5 stunning malts from Scotland, which will keep me going for a long while yet!:D
