Melvyn, please don’t call our Sportsters Sportster, they are Götaverken GV-38 you know.
And only one flying in the world.
😉 <- note
Keep up the great work Peter.
Fredric, nice to hear that the Moth has made the offical (…) first flight.
Not much to add, yes it can be made air worthy again, but most likely no. The engine and other bits and pieces will be removed/replaced in due time.
(Was busy celebrating my birthday yesterday – a very nice day inside the Aeroseum.) 🙂
Come over to Linköping and fill your boots! Saabs old and new as far as the eye can see at the RSwAF Museum!
…or let Mr Ryan take you to Göteborg City Airport and see Drakens, Viggens and Lansen inside a genuine Cold War underground hangar! 😉
That long bit of silver fuselage is also a Thunderjet. Recovered last year from a playground in Skåne.
Looking forward to see your other photos, I have not been in the museum since early June when we shipped the J 22 fighter to France.
Daniel
Hi Peter
I’m really glad to see you are helping out at Svedinos too.
I found this logo at Answers.com. If useful, I could change it into a better file format for decals etc.![]()
Regarding photos there is a mention of the aircraft here:
http://www.ajjcollection.co.uk/ANAA.HTM
Hard to tell if it’s something worthwhile.
Oh please can we have some pics of his newly aquired F-86s (one seen in the background)!
Daniel
PS. You will very soon recieve more translation jobs… 🙂
G’dmn! That was some show – and nice shots too. 🙂
I should have been there… my parents are involved in a nearby vineyard.
Is this a yearly event?
Daniel K
The pilot’s name is correct, as well as the other details.
Happy birthday ‘Papa’!
Great pics Peter! Really nice to meet you there.
(Contact me when your back so we can meet and talk)
For Swedish readers, a newsflash is on the Aeroseum site

Visited Aviodrome in May, took the train to Lelystad and then the regular bus service. Well worth a visit. I do regret that I didn’t fly with the Cat, though!
If you’re into vintage stuff I would really recommend a combined visit to the Early Birds Foundation. Their hangar is just further down the airfield. Very impressive originals and replicas from the early days. http://www.vroegevogels.org/
JDK; I don’t have the technical skills to determine just how “T-6 compatible” it might be. It’s simply what I was told by the owner Björn Svedfeldt while loading the lady some weeks ago.
/Daniel
I was just about to post this too 🙂
It’s a both amazing and bold project that will require a lot of new-/rebuild. T-6 parts may be used to some extension.
Glad to see it arrived luckily in France. I wish the team all the best of luck!
Best regards
Daniel K
Hi Dave,
Take a look at http://www.svedinos.se/index_e.html
Owner Björn Svedfelt is one truly friendly person, I’m sure he can help you.
Btw – does anyone know if it will be painted in the Italian or Swedish colours?
Daniel K / desperately hoping for the original SwAF F9 markings… 🙂
or Norwegian… 😉

…sorry, I hope I didn’t offend any neighbours…
I simply could not image you had the same horrible habit of using “England” instead of (Great) Britain…. 😉
